Greetings fellow crafters!

I've participated in some of these fun swaps in the past, and it really adds interest to Deco Books, Journals, homemade cards to even ATC's. Here's what we'll do:

Create 4 small book pages for 1 partner, and cover them using modge podge or glue by simply putting napkins over the book page! What?!? That's it?? Why yes it is! Just make sure you can see the book page through the decorative napkin. This can be done simply by opening up the napkin to create a more transparent medium. Senders choice, but it never hurts to see if you have any kind of napkin that may hit your partners interests. NOT required, so please do not rate down. By small page, I mean no larger than 5x7, and yes, they can be folded to fit in an envie.

Here's a Youtube link if you aren't sure what I mean. (Ignore the embellishment part - just shows the napkin to book page part)

Be sure to include the swap name, and your swapid so you can be rated. If you receive 4 different ones, please rate a 5. The heart, as always is up to you. I will Angel this swap if you have reached out to your partner and not received a response, and marked them a 1. Please be kind and patient, as we are all having fun :) If you have questions, please message me. I'll see it faster.

So basically you tear out a book page 5 x 7 or smaller and cover it with top part of napkin, 4 of them to send. Do you cover back and front of page?

Dsweeny 01/16/2019 #

@ladydy5 - yes ma'am. The book page dimension you stated are correct. Cover one side of each of the 4 pages with a unique napkin design on each page. No need to do the front and back - just cover one side. Have fun! :)

Cute idea. These then can be cut up and used for making tags, atc’s, those that you receive from your swapper. Hope a lot of you join in. Easy to do.

This is my idea of great fun!!! Napkins are a lot of fun to play with.

May we use this method instead of the modge podge? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3VdNNKDGD8&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3ECBUd72PsrdFuTuULB2wFNH6Tq5eOEktslmiCP5qZDkxFs4CGBOKzFzc

@SuZignomeMoM - absolutely as long as you are doing it on a book page and not card stock. That looks cool! I'll IM you this response, too so you are sure to see it. Hope you join in the fun!

@ladydy5 @KarenLaneWV thank you for the positive feedback ladies. You are absolutely correct - this easy to do craft definitely adds interest to so many things that we all enjoy doing. I'm glad you are participating with me :)

Can it be on a magazine or must it be on a book?

Gobarb 01/24/2019 #

Never mind, I found a book....
