Description:

This is a twist, on a great swap started by @Doodlefingers101 I would really like to encourage everyone to join her swaps. We could use a few more players in her swaps. You can click on her name and find her swaps in her profile. Presently she doesn't have a current swap, but keep checking.

Basically, the idea is to take your old used canceled postage stamps and make postcards, but with an I spy message on the back message area pertaining to the stamps you glued down to COVER the FRONT side of the postcard. We will call the FRONT the decorated side. The back will be the message and address area.

So you can use any new or up-cycled, firm base you prefer: card stock, or a greeting card, or chipboard from a food box, or an old used postcard.

Cover The FRONT side with postage stamps. I did some "interesting" stamps, and made them part of my I spy message, and mixed it in with some boring patriotic stamps. My mail goal was to hide the roses among the thorns.

You my dear, can do it your way. I did it my way.

In the spy books, the search clues are rhymes. Just in case you wonder that is NOT required, you can just list the items to look for in your message. If you are familiar with the spy books and poem, and talented like that. GO FOR IT!!

You will make 2 postcard. One for each of your partners (2), that way you can see the variation of " I did it my way". Variety is the spice of life.

I sealed my postage stamps down to my base with Tim Holtz Distress Medium, I like the vintage look, but it comes in clean, untinted, and there are other modgepodge like ways to glue down stamps. You need to Attach your stamps FIRMLY to the postcard

You are sending the postcard stamped and written on, and NOT in an Envelope. So glue those babies down.

A postcard that measures approx 4.x6 cost 35 cents to mail in the USA, It you make it bigger, it will cost you 55 cents.

Please use a real postage stamp and not a meter strip. This is a type 3, since you are creating a work of art.

I angel my swaps.

Please mail on time.

You have ONE WEEK TO SIGN up and 3 weeks to create.
