Description:

One of the book challenges I'm doing this year is with the Unread Shelf Project 2020 and I'm hosting monthly swaps over in my other group for that. But I thought this might work for this group too. Each month, there is a category you choose from in effort to read books from your shelves rather than having them hang around and collect dust. The idea is you either read it or do not finish/unhaul the book and move it along. The category for February is "a book gifted to you".

It's a little late to start a reading challenge for February - to be fair to you and everyone else. We can do this challenge on a monthly basis, though, if you'd like. Just let me know. :)

Since the topic for the month is a book gifted to you - or a book that was borrowed to you, that you won in a giveaway or received as an ARC - I thought we could discuss our feelings about books as gifts.

For this swap, you will have 1 International partner and send them a letter or note card and talk about your thoughts of giving books as gifts. Do you regularly give books as gifts? If so, how do you decide who to give what book to? Have you received a book as a gift? If so, did you read it? Did you like it? - these questions are just some ideas, you don't have to specifically answer these questions. But something of the like.

If you'd like a little extra for this swap, read a book you currently have on your shelf that was given to you as a gift, or that someone loaned to you but you haven't read it yet. If you decide to do this, please feel free to share your thoughts with your partner. :)

If you have any questions please send me a PM and let me know I'll respond as quickly as I can.

If you would like to do a monthly challenge similar to the Unread Shelf Project here in this group, please let me know. My other group is all email based, but here we can easily do it as a type 2 swap with more details for our partners. I really enjoyed the feeling of reading what I had on hand last year and I learned about my reading habits, too. I find that I'm more mindful now of the books I buy, and that's always a good thing, right? :)
