Reading challenge plus a crafted item! #1

I enjoy being pushed to read a bit outside my usual genres and I know the same is true for other people as well, so I thought I'd post a series of reading challenge swaps.

Each time I'll list 5 challenges.

Pick ONE. Read (or listen to) the book for that challenge.

Then send a letter to your partner. Tell them what you read including the author and the title, and which challenge it was for.

Along with the letter, add a crafted item -- an ATC, for example, or a zine, or a handmade postcard or a paper doll or something sewn or anything else you like. The crafted item MUST in some way relate to the book you read.

So ... if you read Alice in Wonderland, for example, you might make an Alice themed postcard or a collage doll or an ATC that related to the book.

Make sure to include your swap name and the name of the swap!

In the letter, write at least a paragraph about Write a paragraph about the book. What was it about? Did you like it? Did you dislike it? Was it already familiar to you or was it a new departure? Would you recommend it as a good read? Anything you like really -- but do write more than a brief sentence.

And if it's not obvious, tell your partner how your crafted item relates to the book!

CHALLENGES FOR SWAP #1 (remember, you only have to read one book -- not all five!)

(1) A book published in the 19th century

(2) A book set in France, Germany, Italy, Spain or Sweden

(3) A cookbook

(4) A book whose title starts with G

(5) A book that has won an award

I'll give us a longish amount of time since we have to get the book, read the book and do the crafting! But have fun!
