Something new I hope you will try along with me. I have been seeing several YouTube videos regarding grid collaging or paper sampling. Either way the concept is the same. This video by Nicole at RelaxCutGlue, will introduce you to the process Here This process is a clean cut process…no tearing like we sometimes do with collages. The shapes consist of rectangles and squares. (She says triangles in the video.) There are also tiny spaces between the shapes…no overlap or papers on top of each other. For this time around, you can collage a postcard or a journal card. Either way, these will be mailed in an envelope. I believe postcards are 4x6…make journal cards the same size. Put some plain paper on back of journal card, please. No specific color required, but you can create as Nicole does if you like. Collage with pieces of paper you have on hand. Add a focal point or two after collaging and a sentiment if you like. I hope the video helps for those who need a visual like me. If interest is there, I could do like a six part series using various color palettes as Nicole does. Leave comments below if interested. As always, thanks for joining my swap. |
