G: Campfire stories

We're getting near Halloween, so let's share some spooky stories. In the US, "back in my day" we would sit around a campfire and tell spooky stories. These could be a mix of ghost stories from literature, old folk lore, urban legends and the like. Now, apparently this has continued online, and is called 'Creepypasta'. But there are shows such as 'Are you afraid of the dark' and books like "Scary stories to tell in the dark". So many options!

For this swap, find a campfire style story and share it with your partner. You can find a story in a book, online, whatever works for you. Copy by hand, print it from the internet, it's up to you. Feeling creative? Make a booklet - sender's choice. Stories vary in length, and some are mostly an outline of details, allowing the teller to act out or embellish, adding details along the way. I won't set a length for this reason. If the story isn't in English, please provide an English translation. :)
