Description:

For this swap we will be following Maggie’s tutorial on the Sunset Crafts & More channel. We will be sending our partner 1 handmade postcard.

Take a sturdy piece of paper and cut it to 4 x 6 inches. This is the standard postcard size. I use watercolor paper alot, but I’ve also tried watercoloring on book pages, drawing paper and multimedia paper. The important thing is when your finished you might have to glue the postcard on a thicker piece of paper in order to send it through the mail.

On the back side write the name of this swap and your swapname. Write a short description about the mediums you used.

Maggie uses watercolors as the base, then she uses a clear stamp and embellishes with lace stickers. Feel free to use your own mediums (use at least three ) A few mediums you can use are: gouache, watercolors, acrylic, ink, stamps, washi tape, stickers, collage, there are so many possibilities!

Theme is sender’s choice. You have the freedom to create what you like. If you need inspiration have a look at your partner’s profile.

You will be sending this postcard naked or in a clear sleeve. I have mailed my postcards many times in a clear sleeve with the stamp on the outside. A clear sleeve protects against the elements but this is not mandatory.

HERE is the link.

I hope you’ll join me on this little creative adventure!
