The dreaded "Swine Flu" has lots of folks in the big city wearing surgical masks during their commute hours on the train. What I wouldn't give for a mask that had a little something extra. Sure, altering it is going to change its "sterile" status, but I could suffer for fashion. Your job, sign up and send one altered surgical mask to one partner in the USA. Right now, I can't even buy them in my area because people have cleaned out the stores, so I'm going to put a long leadtime on this swap. Let's bring the fun back to facial masks!

Oh this would have been so fun:)too bad itÂ´s US only..people over here in Finland have cleaned out all the masks from pharmacies aswell....

I made some masks today Check them out here AND I am in the process of making surgical masks for my family i cut out a ton of extras if you need a Regular sized mask or a 2 yr old size let me know Ill send some for free or a trade if you want!

This is something to think about. My dr's office has boxes of free masks, including kids' masks with cartoon characters, 'cause lots of kids are there. I picked up a couple as a joke for my husband, a pharmacist. I told him he ought to wear a mask (preferably the kid's one), big goggle-type eyewear, and latex gloves while in the pharmacy, just for fun.

You know, I saw a pic not very long ago of Michael Jackson wearing a mask like this made of black satin. WHO IN THE WORLD would have thought he would have been at the leading end of a fashion trend?

your mask should arrive soon...sorry i was late. its not that cool. it was a great swap idea and everything, but when it came down to it, i had a tough time coming up with a good idea for it.
