Got remnants? Do you love the fabric, but don't have enough to make anything with it? Share the fun by gluing it to a postcard and sending it to another fabric-ophile. Step 1: Acquire five postcards. Buy, make, recycle, whatever, so long as it's mailable. Step 2: Cover one side with the fabric. (Glue sticks are perfect for this.) On the other side write the name of the pattern/designer, or what you used the fabric for, or anything you want to share. Step 3: Send one postcard to each of five partners. Don't forget that postcards need 26 cents postage now. Restrictions: Rated at least 4.5 in a minimum of 5 swaps and no history of no-sends. Is it ok if we use fabric if we don't know the pattern name or designer? I have a few remnants that are perfect for this that are quite small and where aquired through garage sales and whatnot (I washed them of course).

Sure, just write something else on the reverse. The fun is in sharing the cool fabrics with other people who will appreciate them, too.

Would it be ok to prepare the postcard as you said, but mail it in an envelope? Or would it be ok to put a light coat of sealer over the fabric? I just worry about how well it will hold up in the mail.

The postcards are so fun to make. (I took a touristy postcard from my hometown and glued the fabric to the non-glossy side.)

I'm going to experiment w/ adhesives. I've got Grafix adhesive film, YES paste, some spray adhesive, just about every kind of Aleene's glue... we'll see what works.

My postcards are all done and ready to drop in the mail tomorrow! I hope the post office treats them kindly.

Mine are done, I used "YES Paste" so I'm crossing my fingers that they will all arrive ok!! I've used it to make paper pc's with no problem. :D
