I HAVE BEEN LOOKING OVER DOLL SWAPS AND SEE ALTERED ART DOLLS. (SOMETHING I AM GOING TO TRY SOMEDAY) BUT I AM FROM THE OLD SCHOOL AND LOVE TO FIX UP OLD DOLLS TO GIVE THEM A FRESH, NEW, HAPPY LOOK. SO IF YOU ENJOY FIXING UP OLD DOLLS THIS SWAP IS FOR YOU. RESCUE A DOLL FROM THE FLEA MARKET, A THRIFT STORE OR YARD SALE. GIVE HER A BATH AND LET THE FUN BEGIN. SHE CAN BE A RAG DOLL, PORCELAIN DOLL OR VINYL OR A COMBINATION OF CLOTH AND VINYL. NEW HAIR IF NEEDED, NEW CLOTHES IF NEEDED, WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO MAKE HER SPECIAL. "IF" YOU CAN TAKE A PHOTO OF HER "BEFORE" SEND IT TO YOUR PARTNER. THIS RESCUES A SWEET LITTLE DOLL AND KEEPS THE CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING SO WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT...? NO FLAKERS. I WILL CHECK PROFILES. MUST HAVE COMPLETED 5 SNAIL MAIL SWAPS AND A RATING OF 4.9 WITH NO 3'S OR 1'S IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. GOT QUESTIONS... JUST PM ME.

@zion WOW Lucky you! I think I have a touch of envy.. I use to make porcelain dolls for a living and I also tought it at a local community college. Some of the happiest times of my life.

hello, thank you so much for your email. I'll join! This is my sort of thing! I also see it as a way of continuing and honoring the love that a little girl gave and received from a doll she has outgrown. A kind of continuing the love. I am also glad to have until April to do this. Linda

this is cool! thanks too for the email. I would love to do it . I don't do it for a living but I have been doing it ,almost as long as I been living! LOL I may blog about the rescued dolls I have done growing up, when I finish this one! If anyone else would like theirs displayed there too, just PM me when you are done with the before and after pics . Peace and Happy swapping all!

Oh, this sounds wonderful I love rescuing dolls. It is one of my favorite things to do. I'm sure I have some in my stash, I'm always picking up orphan's to fix. Although it is always fun looking for more...LOL Peace, Brenda
