Are you MAD about Mad Men? Because, I definitely am! I love the glamourous world of Don Draper and the rest of characters of the Sterling Cooper Firm. The 60's a turbulent time, yet innovative and glamourous. For women it was a time of constant struggle for independence and equality. Being a SAHM or a women in the work force may not be a glamourous job, but for this swap you can now show some light on either position you choose. Are you a Betty, Rachel, Ms. Holloway, Peggy, Trudy, Jane or Helen Bishop?

For this swap this swap you will take a composition book (cow print kind) <---As Elizabeth4510 would say. Or another suitable journal. You can also use a scrapbook too if you want to get super creative. If you are going to use a composition notebook, I ask that you please decorate the front and the back. Pick a character from Madmen and try to stay in the kitchy 1960's theme of working girl or SAHM.

In the journal you are to include these prompts:

• 25 Recipes (5 appetizers, 5 entrees, 5 desserts, 5 snacks, 5 of the senders choice)

• 10 Recipes for Cocktails (Whether your drinking at the office meeting, an after work cocktail, or before your husband comes home from work? A MAD woman has to know how to make the perfect cocktail)

• 10 Cleaning Tips (Single or Taken every woman has to run a tight ship)

• 10 Ways To Get Organized (Being a SAHM or a Working Woman every lady has to be 2 steps ahead bc after all its a mans world)

• 10 Crafty Ideas (for the SAHM) or 10 Ways To Get that promotion (for the working girl)

• 10 Decorating Ideas (flea markets or that expensive decorator all your neighbors are hiring?)

• A Weekend Activities (Out with your boss or family picnic in the burbs?)

Lists

• How to save money and where do you hide it?

• Ways to de-stress from family life or the corporate world

• Reasons why you love your spouse (if married) or job (if you are the working woman)

• Do you have children or pets? Please describe them

• Your neighborhood: Where do you live? In the city or in the burbs?

Items:

• A mixed CD your choice (the perfect dinner party, cleaning, weekend entertaining, or relaxing on that Sunday afternoon)

• A swap related gift of $5 or more.

Please feel free to be as creative as you can. Are you a Marilyn or Jackie? Even if you are an SAHM you can still answer this through your entire journey of your journal. Let your inner character shine through this project.You can sprinkle your prompts through your entire journal, you dont have to group them all together.
