Description:

If you don't like scary things, morbid things, or if you are faint of heart, this is not the swap for you, please leave now.

However if creepy, strange and even downright weird things are up your alley, then this is the swap for you.

You will have one partner, and your mission is to create a truly morbid masterpiece for your partner. Let me give some ideas, links and suggestions:

I myself made "Devil Mouse" (pic shown above) which you can read more about the construction of here at my blog:

The Making of Devil Mouse

Another REALLY cool idea is to make a shrine like Katey Barrett does here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kateybarrett/1258497432/

and here is another cool one she did here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kateybarrett/728174748/in/set-72157600448925650/

Or you could come up with something totally unique and cool of your own to send to your partner.

A couple rules:

  1. Regardless of the fact that I used Devil Mouse as an example and that Devil Mouse really is very cool, please DO NOT send dead animals, parts of dead animals (I mean legs not leather :D), parts of human beings or anything else that might violate laws and/or sicken your partner. It's sad that I actually have to write that disclaimer. Please use common sense.

  2. I'm not going to place a monetary value on this as it is what I consider an expression of yourself, but please, send only something you yourself would be delighted to receive.

  3. By signing up for this swap you agree that you actually like morbid or strange/odd things, and agree to actually RECEIVE strange macabre things. If you have any limits (like if you don't want anything with fur/feathers or if you don't want clowns on anything, etc...whatever is OFF LIMITS to you personally), PLEASE write them in the comments below, and hopefully your partner thinks to read them :) LOL

  4. It can be as big or small as you want with whatever artistic medium you choose. There are NO limits on what you can make other than the ones set out in these rules. Think outside the box if you want!

  5. Read your partner's profile and see if you can incorporate anything in their profile with your creation

Other than that, HAVE FUN!!! If you have any questions, you can post them in the comments section below. I'm making the deadline Oct. 17 so hopefully most people will get them by Halloween!

Sorry, no newbies for this one. Must have a rating of at least 4.75 with no no-sends (message me if you think you are an exception and we will chat!). International people welcome!

Please make this SPECIAL for your partner!!! Make this the ONE swap you go all out on :D It's worth it!

I SO wish I could join but I am overcommitted right now. If you decide to do this again, say, for Christmas (morbid & macabre handmade Christmas cards?), I would be very interested! Good luck with your swap!

Please no clowns, no obviously religious symbols.

may I send jewelry and other stuff instead of a shrine? I´m joining it!

Oh yes, you may send absolutely ANYTHING you want that is morbid and macabre that hopefully your partner will like. Beyond shrines, you can do paintings, jewelry, sculptures, altered journals...absolutely anything at all as long as the theme is morbid and macabre. Just make sure it is something NICE that you would be delighted to receive yourself! And check your partner's profiles for likes and dislikes also (for example, I myself don't really wear jewelry).

I forgot to mention, I WILL angel this swap, please contact me if you do not receive anything from your partner. But here's to hoping we're all well-intentioned people, eh? :D
