FEB: A Mail Art Scavenger Hunt

In an effort to round out the groups offerings for the month, I thought I would throw this little swap out there. I do believe something slightly similar (but much more creative) was hosted by our very own @TangleCrafts last year around this time.

For this swap you will be going on a scavenger hunt for five mail art items. The hints will be posted below. You will have one partner and you must creatively package your swap. This requirement can be achieved in two different ways: providing a cool container for your scavenged items or heavily decorating your parcel and turning it into a piece of traveling mail art.

The hints:

• Something to write on (for example at least five notecards or lettersets, several postcards, a journal, an address book etc, etc)

• Something to write with (a nice gel pen, sharpie, glaze pen, glitter pens etc.)

• Something to decorate with (a rubber stamp that is mail art related, deco tape, rub ons, address lables, stickers, artistamps etc.)

• Something that sticks (personalized address lables, artistamps, stickers, mailing lables)

• Something handmade special for your partner (a bookmark, a filled matchbox, an ATC, a hand carved stamp etc,)

I have provided examples only to inspire and to provide a benchmark for expecations.

The recap: One international partner, one cool container or heavily decorated package filled with five items inspired by the hints above. Also be sure to include a note to let your partner know which items are for each of the hints!
