I swiped the swap description from @Beckra with her permission (with a few modifications)

I enjoy postcard swaps so much and am often delighted by the little glimpses of other people's lives that they offer. Here's a chance to get to know the sender a little bit better because you'll receive multiple cards from them, written and sent over the course of a week.... Interested? Read on!

For this swap you will have 1 partner, and you will send that partner 7 postcards. On each postcard you should write a diary-type entry.

Write your first card on Saturday, 2/26, post Sunday, 2/27 and you will be writing your last card on Friday, 3/4 & posting the next day, Saturday, 3/5. At the end of each day, give yourself some time to record the day's events. What did you do that day? What did you think about? Did something make you especially happy or especially unhappy? You can write anything along these lines, as long as you're giving some sort of view of your day. The next morning, pop that postcard in the mail, and write the next card that evening. Repeat until the week is out! (Of course, since no mail moves in the US on Sundays, the Saturday postcard will have to be mailed on the following Monday.)

If you don't have access to a mailbox every day, you can write a card a day and then mail all the cards at once on 3/5.

Types of postcards sent are the sender's choice. Both commercially produced cards and hand-made cards are fine, though if your card is delicate you may want to send it in an envelope (and that's okay for this swap).

TERMS: 1) This is a regional - USA swap only. If you are interested in the international one, check my profile. :) 2) No newbies for this one; sorry. 3) Only Swappers 4.90 & above in this swap. If there's something on your profile that you think might raise eyebrows, please PM me in advance. 4) Before partners are assigned I'll also drop anyone who hasn't logged into swap-bot in over a week. Don't forget to include your swapbot name & the name of the swap on your postcards.

Sorry for all that rules and regulations mumbo jumbo--I just want to make sure that everyone receives their postcards and that all swappers participating are ready to write and send!

love these types of swaps, cause a lot of random stuff can happen in only 7 days... at least to me anyways lol! oh ya I just hope it's o.k. to mention that some postcards may be spaced apart even if they are sent each day due to the weather. here in L.A. we are having heavy rain one day and sunshine the next

StwbyQT 02/20/2011 #

That's OK, @area51ufo1 Providing all cards are sent no later than 3/5, all is right with the world. :) Thanks!

knitzwithcatz 02/24/2011 #

we send them for 8 days, BTW.

StwbyQT 02/24/2011 #

No, this is 7 cards. How it works is you write your first card on the 26th, post 27th (Day 1), 27th -write that evening, send 28st (Day 2) & so on. If you want to send an 8th card, you are welcome to.

are we suppose to hit send after all cards have been mailed? I have mailed mine on time so far but wasnt sure when I was suppose to hit the send button

KarlaKC 03/ 5/2011 #

@Denise yes, I would say that we hit "Sent" after our 7th card has been mailed. If we mark "Sent" any sooner, it's not really accurate as we haven't completed the swap after mailing the first, second, or subsequent card. I coordinated a swap similar to this last year called "A Week of Postcards" and that is what I told my participants, that the swap shouldn't be marked "Sent" until that last card was sent. Of course, I'm just assuming that this is what StwbyQT would say, too, but I'm not going to assume anything. :) I just marked mine "Sent" here at the deadline of the swap as my last card was mailed today.
