Things I love:

1. Our house in the woods, quiet, peaceful and cool in the summer.
2. Animals – especially cats. We also have chickens, and I enjoy watching the rooster strut around the yard.
3. Water – swimming in the ocean, snorkeling with the fish, listening to a babbling brook.
4. Quilting – my passion. I love all kinds of quilts. I’ve recently started making more abstract, contemporary quilts and embellishing wall hangings. I like fabric postcards.
5. Travel – We usually vacation in South America, where year after year I struggle with the Spanish. I was also in the Peace Corps in West Africa for two years and have been many other places.
6. Music – Neil Young, Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley, among others.
7. Colors –I’m drawn to the colors and textures you might find on a walk through a forest or meadow.
8. Other things – unusual spices, buttons, beads, fabric, found objects with a story, scraps of leather and unusual fabrics useful in collages, photographs, primitive art, unusual paper, journals, and just about anything that shows some thought was put into it.
