Hello everyone, I’m an educator and wife in her mid-40s who enjoys everything crafty and likes "experimenting" with new recipes. I'm married to a wonderful ex-Marine who supports me in my endeavors to be creative in the kitchen and by having my crafts spread all over the house. Bless his heart, I love him so much! I am a mother to four beautiful children aged 20, 18, 15, and 13. We currently reside in NC with two outdoor cats and an indoor kitten.

I’m in the process of creating a blog to share my craft projects and cooking experiments. Some of my handmade projects will be available for purchase in my online store.

Coming from a family of 6 children, family is very important to me. All my siblings live within 30 minutes of each other and we have several gatherings a year to celebrate birthdays and holidays.

Growing up in the 70's and 80, I still enjoy listening to the artists of my teen years.

• Soft rock (Air Supply, Bee Gees, Boston, Chicago, Dr. Hook, Eagles, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Hall & Oates, KISS, Olivia Newton-John, and Toto)

• Classic rock (ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Led Zeppelin)

• Adult contemporary (Celine Dion, Cher, Journey, Richard Marx, Michael Bolton, Bonnie Tyler, Amy Grant, Billy Ocean, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Shania Twain)

• Glam Metal/Hair Metal (Poison, Motley Crew, Firehouse, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Quiet Riot, White Lion, Stryper, Skid Row)

• Rock (Chris Daughtry)

Basically the only books I read deal with crafts and cooking. I'm extremely ADD and reading novels is hard for me to keep my focus and interest. I like books with pictures to keep my interest.

I don't have a lot of time to spend watching movies, but when I do catch a movie, I enjoy the following:

• Fast & Furious series

• any Lifetime movie (normally based on a true story)

• Scary movies (Jaws, SAW, and any current horror movies from the 1990s until the present)

• Tyler Perry Madea movies

• movies based off of Nicolas Sparks books

I enjoy watching TV in my spare time. Some of my favorite TV shows go back to my childhood. I like to watch any of the following:

• 70's & 80's sitcoms (All in the Family, Jefferson's, Alice, MASH, Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeannie, I Love Lucy, One Day at a Time, Bewitched, Beverly Hillbillies, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Rosanne, and Good Times)

• 70's Adventure TV (Charles Angels, Incredible Hulk, Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, and Isis)

• Crime Shows (NCIS, CSI, Major Crimes, Law & Order [all in the series], Criminal Minds, Cold Case, Bones, The Mentalist, and Castle)

• Cooking Network (Paula Deen, DDD)

I like a wide range of crafts. Some of my favorite crafts are shown below.

• Quilting

• Baby items (shoes, blankets, etc.)

I am always open to new things, so my interests are not just limited to these things.

I collect a variety of items just because my interest changes from one season to the next. Here are some of the items I collect.

• Christmas, especially ornaments

• Beachy things (shells, sea glass, sunsets, etc.)

• Oriental designs/culture (geisha, origami, kokeshi dolls, etc.)

• Fabric (mainly cotton)

• Postage stamps (the more unique, the better)

• Baby animals

• Scrapbook paper

• Beads

• Ribbon

• Buttons, especially vintage

• Stickers

• Altered art/mixed media

• Coloring books with big images to use for quilt patterns

• fancy paper (embossed, foiled, etc.)

• old or foreign postcards - used or blank

• butterflies and dragonflies

Please don't send the following:

• Religious items

• Inappropriate content (profanity, nudity, or alcohol beverage related)

• Perfumed items (some perfume gives me a headache)

• Items that have animal hair on them

• Items from a smoking environment

• Rats, snakes, lizards
