About Me

Hi. I'm Anna, single working and studying Mum of a four year old little princess. I am studying to be an English and Politics high school teacher here in Germany. But already have a Bachelor of Arts in Thai and Developement Studies. I am quite busy splitting my time between university, job and my little princess.

I like: Gardening-heirloom seeds,Oriental vegetable seeds, gardening books When I do have time I love gardening-it gives me so much peace and joy. I am into organic gardening and especially into growing heirloom vegetables. Am badly addicted to collecting heirloom tomatoe seeds. Also am into trying to grow Oriental vegetables, lots of herbs.

Cooking/Food/Cook Books Another passion of mine is cooking and food. In my bookshelf I only have a meter of gardening books but at least two meters crammed with cook books that I love to read and look at. I like cooking with the freshest local, in season, organic produce--only vegetarian, but at the same time I cannot help being in love with Asian food, especially Thai and Japanese.

I also collect small food bowls, coffee mugs, teapots, chopsticks,... I used to live in Thailand for some time and also have lived in London, England for four years and I miss both lots. As there are no good Thai restaurants around and as the Asian shop only has a limited choice of not that fresh Asian veg and herbs I try to grow some myself. I also love tea, but good tea isnt easily available here. I love Lady Grey, Earl Grey, Sainsburys Red Label Tea, Green Tea Lemon, Jasmin Tea, Genmachai Tea. Also badly miss English biscuits. Also like cooking Indian, Mexican and Italian and French food. And baking. Right now I am into Japanese food and bento boxes. So Japanese cook books and kitchen utensils like Japanese cooking chopsticks,...are greatly appreciated.

Also love books and foreign languages. At the moment I try to reactivate my French and Japanese language skills. So French,Japanese or Thai books and DVDs are great for me.

Handmade food and crafts-soap, tea, any special handmade produce really I also love to make my own tea of my garden herbs and flowers, making my own herbal salt or orange sugar, wondeful jam.... I love handmade soap, but haven't dared to try making it yet.

My daughter Lea, loves Hello Kitty and pink, purple and red.

I like all pastel colours and dislike orange and brown. I hate Diddl or products that are supposed to be funny. I appreciate good quality-whether it is products or food. Usually I like straight lines and simple designs, but I also love more romantic, shabbyy designs. I love the smell of lavender, jasmine and roses.
