Updated 6/2/2008: After unexpectedly losing access for two weeks, I was able to get back on Swap Bot last night. But I woke up with a nasty virus this morning... Thanks to my family and best friend, who've all been sick before me. So I'll be a bit slower getting everything out, but I'll get it sent out and contact everyone as quickly as possible. I'm thirty-four, very happily married since 1996, and a Southern girl. I've lived in suburban Atlanta all my life, though both sides of my family have lived in South Georgia for generations. No kids yet, but give it a year or so: my husband is almost out of school... ;)

I'm also a Christian (Southern Baptist, if anyone cares). So please, nothing too racy or anything...though odd is totally welcome, and even encouraged!

Oh, and I have two kitties, who I adore. Someday I hope to have pygmy goats, because they are just so cute and affectionate. And maybe some rabbits. And guinea pigs. If only I can trick my husband into it...

First off, I'm a geek. I figure I might as well confess up front, because even just a peek at any of my sites will give it away pretty quickly.

My specific areas of geekdom are Star Wars, Star Trek, the Wheel of Time, the Lord of the Rings, Terry Pratchett's Discworld, and Robert Aspirin's Myth. I'm also a gamer: Dungeons and Dragons, Paranoia, and Guild Wars, a multiplayer online role-playing game.

I'm a science fan, too, especially astronomy. Before changing my degree to art, I was majoring in physics and minoring in math. And I LIKED IT!

I am, of course, a crafter. I've tried most of them; those I didn't try as a Girl Scout I probably encountered in art school. I crochet and knit; I would weave, but I don't have a loom. I'm also learning to spin on a drop spindle.

Mainly, though, I love paper crafts, and I'm a book artist. I also scrapbook.

Professionally, I'm a graphic designer.

Oh, I am such a collector...

First, I collect artist trading cards, or ATCs. Love them! I'm also into Moo cards and inchies now...

I've been accumulating Christmas ornaments all my life...literally. I still have many of them from when I was a child. My faves are gold, silver, and jewel-tones, or hearts, crosses, or stars.

I'm a big fantasy and scifi nut, and have a major thing for dragons, griffins, and phoenixes (the phoenix is also the symbol of Atlanta), so those are always welcome.

And finally, I plan to make a couple of Rapunzel scarves (big fat scarves like Rapunzel's braid), so I'm currently collecting three yard lengths of yarns and ribbons in black/grey/red or natural/brown color families. I save one or two pieces from nearly everything I make, so it will be like a memory quilt worn around my neck!

I've joined some tea swaps, so I'm adding a new section to my profile: TEA!

So, concisely: My faves: Wild Sweet Orange by Tazo, Spiced Melange by Teavana, basically any black tea with orange; any Earl Grey tea

General likes: Black, flavored green, oolong, rooibos, or herbal. Zingers/hibiscus are great, too.

General dislikes: nothing bitter or medicinal
