I am a big fan of anime and Japanese culture. I help organize cosplay and costuming events, and run cosplay events for some local anime conventions. I love planning events in general.

Another type of event I work with often is weddings. I am an ordained Priestess and I officiate at weddings all through the year. There is no greater feeling than being able to unite two people who are deeply in love.

In what spare time I have, I enjoy sewing and crafting or reading.

Sewing: My absolute favorite craft is sewing. Mostly clothes and costumes, but also various other things, like handbags, shopping bags, hats, and plushies.

Cooking: I absolutely love cooking and baking. I actually have a culinary degree, though I don't work in the field. I enjoy comping up with new recipes and perfecting existing ones to my tastes. My favorite kind of food to make is Italian. I like making pasta noodles from scratch. My favorite thing to bake is sweet breads - like banana bread and strawberry bread, carrot cake, cheesecake, and this really yummy sweet cornbread I make.

Poly-clay: Doing costumes, I have done a lot of crafting little trinkets out of poly-clay. I am not the greatest at it, but it definitely stretches my creativity.

Bead and wire jewelry: I love making jewelry. My favorite is chain mail, but I also enjoy doing wire wrap and other assorted things. I do not have the setup or space to make beads, so all the ones I use are store bought, but I would love to learn to make them some day.

Painting: Not like painting pictures on canvas. I used to do that, but have not in a long time, so it would probably be a mess. Rather, I like painting decorations, signs, furniture, plaster figures, etc. I also like being able to re-purpose resale items.

Etching and Carving: Last spring I tried glass etching and wood burning. I really enjoyed doing them both and hope to have more opportunities to do so in the future. For my last birthday, I got a dremel tool. I can't wait to test it out.

There are other little assorted things I can do, and others I still want to learn. I don't know how to knit or crochet, but I hope to learn in the future. I'm always open to trying other new crafts!

My favorite genres of books to read are historical fiction and fantasy, but I read all kinds of things - from mysteries and romances to new age and metaphysics books.

My favorite books are the Boudica series by Manda Scott and "A Druid's Herbal for the Sacred Earth Year".

I love cookbooks, and have quite a few. I am always looking for new cookbooks that cover the topics of Bento Boxes, Asian Food, and cute foods (like cake/cupcake decorating).

My all time favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. I collect all kinds of Oz memorabilia, and always welcome more.

Other top movies include The Princess Bride, The Producers, Knight's Tale, The Illusionist, Dogma, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and Monty Python Holy Grail.

My favorite TV shows are Phineas and Ferb, Doctor Who (old and new), Sailor Moon, The Monkees, and Total Drama Island. I also love watching Asian dramas and anime.

My favorite bands/performers are Fahrenheit (a Taiwanese band), Flogging Molly, Reel Big Fish, The Monkees, and the Brobdingnagian Bards.

For genres - I like Celtic, Folk/Filk, Ska, Punk, J-pop, Techno, and various other things. To be honest, I like most music as long as it has a decent beat that you can dance to.

I do not like Rap, Heavy Metal, or the newer country music.

Scent(s): Lavender, Cherry Blossom / Sakura, and Mint.

Color(s): Green, Black, and Purple. Neutral earthy colors.

Misc likes: Anime/manga, Asian Drama, Board Games! Origami.

Critter(s): Dogs, Snakes, Bugs. Anything slimy or grotesque looking.

Scent(s): Vanilla and Cinnamon.

Color(s): Anything neon or clashing. No wild Patterns.

Misc dislikes: SpongeBob, Southpark, anything crude, profane, vulgar, etc. Paisley.
