I’m December and I love snail mail.

As a kid I moved around a lot and one of my favorite childhood possessions is a book a teacher put together with my class and sent to me when I had to move again - all letters from classmates that encouraged me when things were tough. I learned then how much a handwritten letter can help a person.

Came to Swap Bot after my friend @Althena kept talking about all the coolness she participates in on here. Not only did this open the door for great letter writing and happy mail but it sent me on the path to discovering so many new things in the world of paper crafting! I learned what ATCs, Inchies, Twinchies, Pocket Letters and more are and am now addicted.

Offline I am a happily married stay-at-home-mom with a toddler. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and traveled so some beautiful places together. We now live just outside of Music City (Nashville, TN). Since having my son, I became a bit of a hermit but am now looking forward to putting myself out there more and diving back into my hobbies.

I enjoy writing, reading, crochet, paper crafting, photography, making jewelry (beading, wire-wrapping, resin creations, etc).

I cuss like a sailor and am open to risque ATC and other artwork so long as its tastefully done (don't send me dick pics and similar, thanks, I'm talking more pin up and humor)

I am a huge Steampunk fan.

I’ve been into the subculture since 2007 and am proud to have hosted Steampunk meetups and been part of Alaska’s first Steampunk Convention.

I write Steampunk stories under a pen name which I self-publish with some other works on Amazon. I also have an ever-evolving steampunk persona - I would be happy to write pen pal letters while in character.

I have a very long list of allergies. Most of these will not have anything to do with a swap but...just in case:

Artificial Fragrance, Parabens, Petroleum-based products

I am allergic to shellfish so no fish based snacks as many of these use shellfish ingredients for flavoring.

Speaking of Allergens... I live with a dog so while I try to keep her off my things I cannot guarantee there will be no hair.

Paper craft Supplies and Journaling stuff (I love Bullet Journaling) despite my husband saying I don’t need more paper crap lol

Kawaii stationary - especially stickers, deco tape, memo sheets, and letter sets

Pagan themed items - crystals, pentacles, herbs, altar cloths, tarot cards (loose or decks), runes, sigils, etc

CHARMS- I LOVE CHARMS! Silver, gold, bronze, copper, clay, whatever. I love charms.

Steampunk craft supplies - cogs, gears, copper and brass, victorian photos, vintage advertisement, lace, cameos, buttons, and other steamy bits and bobs.

Back to Swap-Bot after a 4 year hiatus!

Sadly my rating is not perfect - the 1 rating on my profile is with someone who is inactive. She did not receive my swap in 2014 when I was in the midst of a last-minute move. If she comes back to SB, I'd be happy to do what I can to fix it but for now, I do what I can.

Messaged @elvenfire April 30. She has since been active but has not replied to my message. Still willing to resend the swap and make amends if she wishes.
