I live and work in New York City as an attorney in the arts.

I enjoy tasks that are time- and labor-intensive (such as embroidery). I like to create small cross-stitch projects that are slightly sugary with a large dosage of irony.

I love contemporary art -- some of my favorite artists include Yukio Fujimoto (a Japanese artist who works with sound), Ian Hamilton Finlay (a Scottish artist known for working with words), Tom Phillips (an artist who works with altered text), and Shag (an artist who has the coolest eye for cartoon-y images of retro-hip).

I also really enjoy modern theater and modern dance. One of the most memorable performances I've ever seen is Cathy Weis performing her own work at Dance Theater Workshop in NYC. Her work is poignant and subtle.

I have a healthy addiction to plastic-framed eye glasses. I have several pair and the frames are various candy color shades. I wear a pair of green plastic frames most frequently.

I appreciate ephemera, especially vintage or antique items. I collect pressed pennies and other exonumia. In addition, I also collect antique keys.

I am unfortunately not a girly-girl. I don't really like "kawaii" things and I am not a fan of Disney characters. I also don't really appreciate tchotchkes, unless they are infused with a dosage of kitsch sensibility.

I've been fortunate to travel pretty extensively for work and for pleasure. My favorite places in the world to live are (in no particular order): Tokyo, New York and London. My most recent international trip was to Machu Picchu in Peru.
