I am in love with the idea of this site! I absolutely love getting letters and have had several pen pals who were lovely to write to! Sadly it's hard to find diligent letter writers on your own so I'm happy to be here! Long live snail mail. I have my own business selling crafts, artwork, and buttons around my area and I've been doing that for several years. I have a partner and love of my life named Lynn and we've been together since 2007. I live with her, my little brother, and several spoiled and adorable cats. Above all else I love children's books. I love the many types of stories there are and I love that there are so many types of artwork and it shows and teaches so many different things. It astounds me how much children absorb and I think one of the true injustices we commit against ourselves is letting go of things we had in our childhood. I'm not saying don't grow up, but don't let the child inside go completely. My favorite kid's books include, Where the Wild Things Are, Olivia, anything by Dr. Seuss, Duck and Goose, and Splat.

I read a bunch of YA and "teen" books because I am genuinely interested in the way things are perceived at that age. I love Francesca Lia Block, J.K. Rowling, Rachel Cohn, Judy Bloom,and The Hunger Games series among many others.

For fiction I love reading just about anything and have read Sylvia Plath, Janet Finch, Elizabeth Wurtzel, Anne Sexton, Louisa May Alcott and Jane Austen quite a bit.

For Non-Fiction I love books that make you think about ways to understand yourself and better yourself such as Imagine, and The Happiness Project.

My favorite cook books are Veginomicon, The Engine 2 Diet, and Forks Over Knives: The Recipes

I love craft and instructional books but my favorites are from Debbie Stoller and Twinkie Chan because of how entertaining and out of the box they are.

I will devour any and all magazines. I will read and or collage with anything. My favorites are Bust, CRAFT (which is no longer in print), NYLON, and Mollie and the many small spin off magazines I can find from it.

*I don't have a religion because there are so many parts of any given one that I agree and disagree with. I am fascinated with learning things about many paths and I try to live with kindness, an open heart and mind, and treat others (people and animals) well.

*I am obsessed with learning about other cities, states, countries, planets, and galaxies. The more you understand about the worlds around you the more you understand how little you really know.

*My partner works at a non-profit education center teaching media literacy which includes film, editing, and animation. I have dabbled in all 3 and enjoy them as an amateur.

*I am in love with all things graffiti. I love the work of Fafi and Miss Van and I constantly attempt to draw in the style of graffiti that I find. I document slaps that I find in my area on Instagram @grandslapids

*I plan to go to school and take as many random classes as I can in as many interests and I would like and I think my major will be psycology. I want to write, create, photograph, listen, help, advocate, and have a positive influence on the world.

*I love instagram, goodreads, pinterest, sometimes tumblr, postcrossings, and 8tracks. I don't care much for twitter, facebook, or many other social media sites.

*I love black cats, witchcraft, Halloween, and spooky things.

*If it's cute there's a good chance I'll love it.

*I'm vegetarian and have been vegan but had a hard time giving up cheese. I still cook majority of my meals vegan though. I have no problems with meat eaters and often get irritated when people apologize for it, try to talk me out of not eating meat, and ask me either what I eat (in a non educational and judging way) or where I get my protein.

*I love adorable monsters and monster related things.

*I follow quite a few tattoo artists and their work. I have no tattoos yet but purely because of a lack of money. Kat Von D is my favorite artist because I admire her skill, devotion, and dedication to trying new ventures. Her fearlessness inspires me. How many people can say they are an accomplished artist, well known tattoo artist, gallery owner, clothing designer, musician, writer and author, photographer, philanthropist, make-up line creator and inspiration, and wear their heart out on their sleeve in the public eye? DILLIGAF!

*I have 5 piercings on my face including a stud in each nostril, a septum ring, and a stud below my bottom lip on the right and left side (snake bites). I usually only have about 3 in at a time. (I like to switch it up)

Dislikes: If I think of or come across anything I will mark it here. I'm a very open person and I don't find many things that I dislike except for disrespect, close minded people, and those who push their opinions on to others and or don't respect other people's opinions. I believe we are all entitled to what we think/believe and I respect the beliefs of others. I am not apathetic when I see something harming another person but if it comes down to a difference of opinion I may simply stay quiet or walk away. I have met and made friends with people from many walks of life and I feel above all you should treat others as you would like to be treated.

Favorite Drinks:

I love flavored coffees (ground beans, no instant, canned, or mix in drinks) and flavored teas (not too keen on straight up green or staight black tea but any other kind including green or black tea with a second ingredient is fine).

I try not to be too picky and if you aren't sure either ask or send it. I don't rate on someone being able to guess if a stranger will like what they send. I rate based on whether or not the prompt was completed, timeliness, and condition.

I have no allergies and no restrictions for food and beauty products unless it contains meat or gelatin.
