Wow, this needs updating!!

I am a single working mum of two very active boys, aged 15 (Chris) and 16 (Daniel), and a cat (Binky, aged 13). I'm Dutch and currently living in Holland, but I have lived in England for 7 years.

After 15 years of being on my own I've hooked myself a boyfriend. He's very sweet and I'm very much in love!

I work 40 hours a week for an international company. I've had better jobs, but it pays the bills and is close to home.

We regularly camp in Germany, where my parents live.

I only register for swaps I intent to do to the best of my ability. If I'm not sure I can meet a deadline or requirement, I won't sign up. So, if you haven't received a swap from me, please let me know, and I'll make it up to you.

Pop, Rock, Seventies, Eighties, lots and lots. Favorite singers: Clannad, Meat Loaf, Robbie Williams, Stevie Nicks, Trijntje Oosterhuis.

I've recently discovered Spotify, and that has at least doubled my list of favorites! I just love trying out new genres/styles.

Romance, Fantasy, Thrillers, Needlecraft reverence books and the occasional x-rated novel. Favorite authors: Maeve Binchy, Barbara Erskin, Terry Pratchett, JRR Tolkien, Steven King

I just love books, not just for reading, but just for keeps as well. I think a third of all the books I have, I haven't read yet, but I do want to read them all, which means I have to grow very very old (I only read for half a hour before going to sleep)

Romantic Comedies, Comedies, Fantasy Anything done by Nora Ephrom, anything with Johnny Depp.

"You've got Mail", "Sleepless in Seattle", "Alice in Wonderland", "Chocolat", "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy

Daily news and weather. Films. I only occasionally follow a serie (no soap!), I usually get bored with them after a while.

I'm addicted to needle and thread, I do all kinds of needlecraft (x-stitch, hardanger, embroidery, etc ), I knit (preferably lace or cables), I crochet (a little), I quilt, I make bobbin lace. Basically, if it involves threads/wool, I'm game.

I've tried papercrafts and I managed to make some decent cards, but it didn't give me the same satisfaction as my needlecrafts. And since my time is limited, I prefer to spend it on needlecrafts.

Other hobbies of mine are stamp collecting (birds, dragons and lace) and doll houses (working on my first). Also, I have flown model airplanes before

My favorite color is any shade of blue, followed by lilac, green and soft yellow. I don't like black or dark colors My favorite season is spring, followed by summer, I get real grumpy in winter.

I love anything flying: dragons, birds, planes, elves/fairies (not too cutesy, please). Actually, I like most fantasy figures, including non-flying like the unicorn and ugly dwarves.

Tea: flowers, herbs, fruit flavour (in that order)

Smellies: flowers (I love lavender, lillac, roses), candles, oils (bath, burner, massage), insence

Candy: just for my boys (I'm always on a diet, and if I'm not, I should be), please, no chewing gum! We're not allergic to anything.

Love homemade cards, bookmarks, hankies, needlebooks/-rolls, biscornu, ornaments. Not sure about dotee dolls, though.

I'll be extremely happy if you send me needlecraft materials: beads, fabrics, threads (especially silks since they are hard to get here and a lot more expensive)

I do like feminine things, but I'm afraid I've outgrown the real girly stuff, so no Diddle and such like.

NB. please do not send anything my boys shouldn't see, naked. They usually see the mail before I do, so please use an envie!

Oh, and if you send me anything and stamp it with a pretty bird, dragon or lace stamp, you instantly earned yourself a heart!
