My name is Noelene. I live in Ulverstone on the North West Coast of Tasmania.I have four children 3girls and a boy. I have 9 grandchildren 8 girls and one boy. I have 5 great grandchildren 4 girls and one boy. Prior to my marriage I lived at Beulah a farming area on the North West Coast about an hour from Ulverstone. I was reared with 15 siblings on the farm and attended the Sheffield Area School .On completing my school I trained as a teacher and taught for 25 years until my retirement 23 years ago.Since retiring I have enjoyed my family and my craft work. Favorite Music I like all types of music but by far my favorite is country as I was reared on that with my dad and brothers playing various musical instruments. Favorite books I like to read novels and history books also books that help me discover different ways of portraying my craft skills. Favorite Movies I like movies that make one happy not violent ones. Favorite Television My favorite of all is nature themed but I am partial to soapies and comedies. Favorite Crafts I am an avid crafter and spend a lot of time each day working on what I am doing at any given time. . I am a lacemaker working on bobbin lace, needle lace ,crocheting and knitted lace.I also spend much of my time embroidering and have tried many older styles eg Stump Work, Elizabethan ,Brazilian and many others. I have quite a few boxes filled with many of my pieces that I have completed and hope one day my children will be happy to receive them. I also work with mixed media in my paper crafting pieces and trade trading cards with two groups. I have made many different types of books to include my finished pieces of lace,embroideries and paper creations. Scrapbooking has been an interest for quite a few years and I have completed quite a few using family photos.I collect old dolls and have quite a few antique ones as well as more modern ones. When my children grew up I started making reproduction porcelain dolls and then about ten years ago I began making soft cloth dolls . These I am able to include my many craft skills using beading ,handmade felt, knitting, sewing stamping when making them I like working in my flower garden early of a morning but do not have a vegie garden as the rabbits eat most of the product as it come up.I used to enjoy house work but it is a bit boring now as my craft work has taken over. I dislike violence of any kind and reality shows on T.V. I like anything pretty eg bright colours not drab .
