Hello! Here is me, short and sweet: I am a woman in my 40's, mother to one crazy kid, partner to one crazy dude. My favorite holiday is Halloween with Christmas being a close second. I am interested in slowly restarting swaps and snail mail art projects. I have a decently sized vintage kawaii stationery collection and I’m interested in trying kawaii specific swapping again. My favorite music is rock (and several variations thereof) and my favorite movies are horror. I have mainly artistic hobbies, but I currently focus on crochetting because I can easily tote the projects with me on adventures and non-adventures (doctor appointments, boring mom stuff, etc.) Do you have yarn you want to get rid of? I will take all the yarn. lol

My partner and I have a great combined vinyl collection of artists from the 1960’s through today. I’m currently (as of July 2020) listening to lots of classic rock, lots of random angry punk rock, lots of 80's alternative and dance, 90's college alternative and grunge, and opinionated female artists like PJ Harvey and Aimee Mann. I have varied tastes ranging from Classical To Punk Rock! My least favorite genres are Country and Rap but there are always exceptions!

i am a pretty boring reader and tend to read a lot of teaching books... how to knit, how to sew, how to do home repair, recipe books, etc. I like to learn new things. i am constantly craving knowledge on a wide variety of different subjects. (i wrote this in 2009 and it still rings true so i’m leaving it as-is.)

Halloween (1978), Jaws, Ginger Snaps trilogy, The Omen trilogy (i watched this constantly when i was pregnant), Trick R Treat, American Werewolf in London, John Carpenter’s The Thing... I guess you get the idea. lol. I also like non-horror movies like some sci-fi, thrillers, some marvel movies, a few comedy, etc.. Very few anime but I LOVE Princess Mononoke. Not big into action/adventure but I do love the Indiana Jones series!

I’m weird about tv and gave up watching local channels ages ago. I stream everything these days. My favorite shows currently: Supernatural, Black Adder, Star Trek TOS, The IT Crowd, Black Books, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER!, Sailor Moon, The Walking Dead, What We Do In The Shadows (lol that's a serious favorite right now) aaand, hmm.. i like some netflix originals, documentary shows, science series, and true crime series.

I don’t have a lot of time for crafts, not like I used to. So I have been collecting things..Specifically yarn...and bath products! Yep. Bath products. lol. About a year ago my partner bought me a candle and bath bomb set and I was like “WHATSA BATH BOMB???” Now here I am with an Instagram specific to reviewing bath bombs and the small businesses that make them, while sitting on a pretty decent stash of fizzers, foamers, whipped soaps and other goodies! Also, I’m so thankful to all the people who make these products because my son now loves baths because we can change the water color.

DO NOT SEND: Any american licensed characters even if they are being sold by Crux or Q-Lia or whoever. No snoopy/peanuts, disney, strawberry shortcake, looney toons, etc.

I really love most kawaii, I’d say 99% but please do not send me photo-realistic animals or people/children themed kawaii. There are exceptions of course but mostly I am not into “real life” kawaii at all.

I can always use stickers. I have a kid and at a certain age a switch flips where they go sticker crazy. Some of us never grow out of it! lol

I love paper scraps, washi/deco tape samples, chipboard die-cuts, shaped sequins/confetti, stickers, baggies/tubes of glitter, handmade envelopes.

YARN. if you have unwanted yarn, hello! lol

I will accept any and all Halloween, Gothic, and spooky items you do not like or want.

I love making art and have a pretty well open mind when it comes to personal expression. Feel free to send me edgy, risquè, dark, spooky, moody and witchy type art. I’m not easily offended if it comes from the heart. HOWEVER do not send anything racist, homophobic, bigoted, hateful, etc. We’re all humans and deserve the respect and the freedom to exist.
