I'm located on the island of Guam, a territory of the U.S. and can often be found running after stray cats in a desperate and pathetic attempt to pet them. I was able to successfully catnap a couple, and now spend my evenings biting them by the scruff so I can feel the vibrations of their purring through my teeth. The last half of that previous sentence is a lie.
Other interests: driving with no destination in the twilight zone, space cadetting, mixing through 8tracks, stroking vintage fabric, smelling newly striked matches, gargling, getting lost, staring out into the endless night sky, frequenting the post office, laughing at the wrong times, eating the fog, and drowning in my glass of water.
35mm film, the avant-garde, the crackle of dusty records, bright full swollen moons, bass and baritone voices, the bizarre, buttons (metal or brass and the occasional odd plastic button), bpal, cats, cigar boxes, candles, castles (not the cutesy kind), dream catchers, dark chocolate, dark comedy, envelopes, fashion, feathers, foreign snacks, glow-in-the-dark, handmade items, introvertism, linen, little curiosities, marzipan, musical dissonance, mix CDs, mail art, miniature perfume bottles, miniatures/dollhouse-sized items, the night, nonsensical letters/notes, nag champa incense, old surreal cartoons, obsolete technology, postcards, puns and wordplay, postage stamps, scents: pumpkin and clove, re-ment, soymilk mustaches, space, subliminal messages, subverted dream worlds, sealing wax & stamps, snail mail & surprises, tea parties, unusual finds, vintage items, vinyl records, zines (art and humor).
musicals, anime (although I did like Cat Soup), gluten/wheat (allergic), neon colors, sports, snakes, glitter, and the majority of Disney (can't stand the songs).
All dependent on my mood. A mess of genres.
In general...
post-punk, psychedelic, experimental, avant-garde, dark ambient, lo-fi, minimal synth/wave, new wave, darkwave, garage, industrial, progressive, trip-hop, classic rock, electronic, old country, the blues, big band, crime jazz, noise, and some unclassifiables.

I'm open to almost anything EXCEPT for modern rnb, modern mainstream country/pop/rock, j-pop/j-rock, and emo/screamo.
The surreal and the hilarious (intentional or unintentional)
Love everything by Jan Å vankmajer, Jim Jarmusch, and Wes Anderson.
Also: Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, The Coen Brothers, David Lynch and Claude Chabrol.
List of favorites: http://www.imdb.com/list/5MSJtTYuZk8/
Animalia by Graeme Base
Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino
Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol
No One Belongs Here More Than You by Miranda July
Sylvie and Bruno by Lewis Carroll
The Elephant Vanishes by Haruki Murakami
I've started getting back into collecting postcards again, and am looking for mostly non-scenic/non-touristy pcs.
If you have anything even a little bit unusual, I'd love it. So far, the most unusual ones I have are a vintage holographic Japanese Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pc (from happypup, received through the Wishlist group), and a wooden Native American pc that my dad sent to me in 1996.
Other cards I like are: art or design, anything to do with space or the moon, interesting architecture, vintage (not a fan of those cartoon cards, though), and altered.
or you can check out my Postcrossing favorites to get an idea of what I like. (http://www.postcrossing.com/user/kymm00/gallery/favourites)
If you're not sure what to write, try something funny. Make the postman laugh! or cryptic. Make the postman wonder...
Oh, and please don't send me any oversized postcards. I keep my pcs in a special little box and would be sad if it didn't fit inside. haha.
For tea swaps, I prefer tea in bags since I like to collect the envelopes and tags. However once in a while, I'll have some loose tea especially if it's a unique flavor.
Some favorites are Darjeeling, Matcha, Spiced Orange Pekoe, Assam.
Dislike Earl Grey and anything with mint, bergamot or barley.
Other than that, I'm open to trying out new or unusual flavors! Love dessert teas, and love Pickwick.
Specific things I'm currently looking for and would love to receive (updated Oct 18, 2014):
* Canned sardines -- would love a can of sardines from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Norway, or France (skinless/boneless is a plus but not necessary)
* Candles -- Use them often and go through a lot so I'm not picky.
* Envelopes -- For sending letters. Colored or fancy envelopes are a plus but I'll take any.
* Hotel note pads -- you know, the ones kept by the bedside table? Yes, please.
* 35mm film -- Especially black and white, but color is cool too. I go through rolls like crazy. Fuji and Ilford are my favorites but I'll take any.
* Little curiosities / miniatures / dollhouse sized items -- Always looking for these and would love any.
I always send out my swaps. If I will be late, I will send you a message to let you know.
If you receive my end, and there are any problems at all, please send me a message so we can work things out.
