I'm a 27 year old housewife that is trying to figure out her way in life. I have a blog that documents the things I make everyday: http://makesomething-everyday.blogspot.com/
I live in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada and I love it here.
I'm really enjoying swap-bot and the effects its had on my creativity, and productivity. I LOVE private swaps, so if my profile looks interesting to you, please don't hesitate to contact me, and we can swap wonderful things!
anything paper related. i love making cards, postcards, little books, little envelopes, and collages
painting with oils, and drawing with pen and ink.
knitting (this is still new to me but i love it, and want to make an afghan.)
i just bought a sewing machine, and i want to learn to quilt!
i'm currently taking a pottery class and am falling (back) in love with wheel throwing!
items i'd love to see on a PC would be cats (not kittens), bicycles, clouds, and maps. i also love touristy cards but only when written on and sent naked. anything quirky, vintage, weird, interesting would make me happy. oh and i love black & white postcards!
craft supplies: alphabet stickers, colored, printed, or handmade envelopes, adhesive ribbon, cardstock (really would love some of this, any color), stamps, stamped paper, ink pads, adhesive chipboard alphabets, letraset (really would love some of this too!), old sewing patterns (they can be incomplete i use them in collages)
floral anything. i love roses and peonies the most, and victorian-esque florals (stamps, papers, stickers etc) i really don't like really cutsey graphic florals
vintage items (anything up until the 80's ), pages from books, papers, sheet music(!) old photos,
pens, and sharpies. i love metallics, and you can never go wrong with good ol' basic black :)
travel themed and mail themed supplies (maps, compasses, stamps) like printed paper, stamps, stickers.
anything to do with bicycles: pictures of people with bikes, printed paper, stamps, postcards, etc
non-english newspapers and maps from your town/city/province or state (especially subway/transit maps!!) preferably old, but i'll also take new
things related to where you are from and/or your culture
drawings, sketches, doodles
mix cds
mexican religious art, or anything to do with Day of the Dead
used postage
zines
handmade things (anything really, just as long as YOU made it)
fabric scraps
odd, weird, funny, unusual and kitschy items
maps! old ones are my favourite, but new ones are good too. even if its just a piece of a map, ripped out of a book, i will still be grateful for it.
cooking, baking & eating healthy: my favorite food blog is smitten kitchen, which is a huge inspiration for my cooking (although its not always the healthiest)
travel: i really havent travelled much, but aspire to. maybe thats why i love international swaps so much, i have a craving for all things foreign!
gardening: last year was my first attempt at a vegetable garden and it was only semi-succesful. this year is going to be better.
bicycles: i ride a fixed gear bike, and love anything to do with bicycles and sustainable transportation.
i don't watch a lot of television and am not really up to date on the cool new shows but i currently do watch a lot of Seinfeld, Friends, Criminal Minds, Star Trek(i'm a nerd!), Futurama, and Mad Men.
if i still had cable i would probably watch way too much HGTV.
currently im really enjoying more mellow stuff like deportees, real estate, surfer blood, beach house, the morning benders, and fruit bats. but i love lots of different music including frank sinatra, sam cooke, johnny cash, bob dylan, jayz, q tip, santogold, think about life, kid kudi, passion pit and hot chip
i like fiction, (especially fiction that is based around historical events or people)
im currently reading "Red China Blues" by Jan Wong
i also love graphic novels, a few of my favorites being "Locas" by Jamie Hernandez, and "Ghost World" by Daniel Clowes
NO CARTOONY ITEMS (HELLO KITTY, DISNEY ETC)
no religious stuff please, unless its related to mexican religious art
NO KAWAII!
no scented things
no tea bags, cosmetics, or body products
no scrapbooking supplies that are very wordy or very theme specific (like new baby, wedding) unless the ones specified in my "things i'd like to receive" section ( i am NOT a scrapbooker!)
no overly glittery or gem covered things (I do like metallics though)

Thank you so much for the RAP you sent me! I love it!
Thanks for the nice pc of Toronto for the RAP group. I actually LOVE Toronto!!! I visit once or twice a year. Maybe because you're in Canada and can visit whenever you don't get why its so "overrated" (lol).
Thank you for the RAP card! I got a nice smile from my mailbox this morning. Very funny!
Thanks for the RAPC from the Niagara Falls. It reminded me of the tv show 'Wonderfalls' that I used to watch with one of my house-mates in another place about 3-4 years ago. :)
♥ the PC you sent me with the 7-headed monster!!
I really like the card you've sent for the RAP forum. It has a unique quality that I find very interesting. Thank You!
Yay! I thought you'd like that one. :-)
Thanks so much for adding to my map pc collection via the RAP group!!!:)
