I'm a 30-something mom living in Orlando, FL striving to find balance in my life. My 5-year old son and super sweet mutt keep me busy. I am an environmentalist at heart so I'm thrilled with the popularity of repurposing and recycling.

I like knitting, origami, collage and other simple crafts. I try to paint but it isn't easy with limited space and a little helper.

I like all colors, cool, warm, bright, soft and neutral.

I love Amigurumi (those cute little crocheted animals). but I have no idea how to crochet or where to start. Someday...

I also enjoy yoga, traveling, writing short stories and cooking/baking. I love orchids and flowering trees - cherry, dogwood, etc. but am a bit of a tree-hugger so all plants and flowers are beautiful to me.

I have a small addiction to HGTV and Food Network. I also love epicurious.com when looking for new recipe ideas.

I love travel - either with friends and family or by myself (which isn't often anymore.) I enjoy learning about other people and their cultures, traditions and dreams. I like exploring back roads, galleries, thrift stores, or just driving through other neighborhoods.

I am a pretty good cook. It started early. If I didn't like what Mom made for dinner, I made my own. Soon I was cooking for the family. Now I am confident enough to experiment and try new things.

I never thought I would collect postcards until I received one from Croatia. Now, international pc swaps are high on my list and I have a growing collection of cards.

I am always interested in independent swaps as I enjoy searching for things I think the other person will enjoy. Let me know if you want anything from sunny Florida!
