Hello! My name is Mariah, but my nickname is Sunshine. I am an 18 college student working on my fashion design degree who lives in Sacramento, CA. I live with my best friend and her family and I have an amazing boyfriend on over a year. These people mean more to me than I can say, for they have been there for me through many hard times. But that's not to say that I don't like adding to the list of amazing friends that I have! Hopefully I can find many friends here to make.

Arts and crafts have always been a major part of me and they are what I want to persure in life. Right now, I have an Etsy shop and I hope it will have some success. For now though, I'm working on building it up. I also have a Deviant Art, which you can look at to see my work, and if you look at my favorites you can get an idea of what I like and love =D

One thing that I have always wanted to do would be to travel the world someday. I have always been interested in the way other people around the world live, what I have in common with them, and what is different. Some of the places I would like to visit are Ireland, London, Italy, France, Tokyo, Fiji, India, Australia, New York, and Amsterdam. I am also very interested in other religions and would like to learn more about them, but would kindly ask to not have you try to convert me. Being informed is nice and can help us all get along, but it would be nice if religion isn't forced upon.

I WOULD LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I TRY TO RECYCLE ALL MY PACKAGING! (its cheap and saves the enviroment =D ) I WILL NOT LEAVE OLD ADDRESSES ON THE PACKAGING SO NO NEED TO WORRY!

Music is my life! I have been singing in my school's choir for the last three years. I love a big variety of music ranging from screamo to techno to soundtracks to Lady Gaga and whatever else catches my ear. The only type I don't really like so much is country, rap, most pop music, and some indie.

Artists and bands include: Lady Gaga, Aiden, Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, ATC, Avenged Sevenfold, Basshunter, The Beatles, Breathe Carolina , Cake, Chiodos, Danny Elfman, Deftones, Disturbed, Enya, Escape the Fate, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Hawthorne Heights, Lily Allen. Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Mary McLaughlin, MGMT, Mindless Self Indulgence, Mudvayne, Nightwish, Nightcore, Owl City, Paramore, Sarah Brightman, Shiny Toy Guns, Korn, Silverstein, Slipknot, The Used, 30 Seconds to Mars, 3oh!3, Tokio Hotel, Metallica, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Thanks to my best friend Megan, I have grown a great love for the cinema. My most favorite movie of all time is Across the Universe! I love musicals, action, horror, romance, and fantasy.

Some of my favorites include Repo! the Genetic Opera, Pulp Fiction, Death Proof, Pocahontas, Snow White, What Dreams May Come, The Crow, Watchmen, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Matilda, Donnie Darko, Sweeny Todd, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, New Moon, Where the Wild Things Are, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Notebook, Interview with a Vampire, and Beetlejuice. There are many others, but those are some of my favorites.

Most books I like to read are fantasy based because I can briefly separate from reality. These include the Harry Potter Series, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Wicked Lovely Series. I also love books on How To, such as gardening, crafts, etc. And picture books as well on subjects like fantasy, fashion, art, etc.

I don't watch too much television, but when I do I like RuPaul's Drag Race, Family Guy, Inuyasha, and I'm getting started on True Blood. To be perfectly honest, I think I could live without television. I am more of an Internet junkie =)

Pretty much any craft appeals to me and I am always looking for something to create or make. My current obsession is fashion and clothes making. At the moment, I make tutus for my Etsy shop. Go check it out and tell me about it! Some of my favorite materials to use are ribbon, lace, glitter, tulle, fabric, fake flowers, HOT GLUE, nylons, wire, acrylic paint, elastic bands, thread, clay and beads. Another one of my loves is writing. Writing has gotten me through some very tough times over the years and lets me express myself freely. I have been learning how to knit and I absolutly love it! I would also like to learn how to crochet, so any info on how to do that would be greatly appreciated! =D
