I love getting mail and sending mail, which is why I'm here.

I am a writer, so I love anything to do with writing: paper, pen, stationery, stickers, old typewriters, typewriter keys, photos of old typewriters, and anything that will fit in my Journal-- which is a bit more like a Smash book.

I like earrings, always with the fish-hook hangar-- easy in and easy out. I prefer that they aren't heavy.

My animals are my family-- horses and cats and my Standard poodle who is always in need of a hair cut. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my cats. I think they're the perfect pet-- both loving and independent.

I like cows because they are not stupid like everyone thinks, but have found a perfect zen in life-- enjoying their day with a good balance of eating, sleeping and hanging out chewing a cud.

I am a retired jet pilot and own a little Cessna 150 named Gretta, which cruises at 90 mph. When I'm in a hurry, I drive.

I love writing letters, getting letters (snail mail), and making someone smile.

I enjoy gardening--both flower and vegetable.

And, I like inspirational phrases, because most of all, I am a woman of the word--I am a writer!

Whatever you send me, I will be grateful.

Mostly I like the sounds of nature, but I also like opera, classic rock, and if I could play (and sing) like Diana Krall, I would be a very happy woman.

My favorite book is "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck; second favorite book is "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerlad.

I love the old books where they photographed cats doing house chores. Of course, when I grew up I was in horror that they were probably STUFFED CATS, but I still love the books.

I don't own a TV, don't watch it and don't know any of the current programs.

My fabric stock is overflowing and my sewing machine count is up to 7, even though I don't sew as much as I'd like to. I also knit and crochet.

On a more out-doorsy theme, I built my house, so I enjoy woodworking, electrical wiring, HATE plumbing or working with concrete, but I do know how to do both.

I garden, landscape, cut trees, and do anything else that needs to be done-- mostly because I want to get it done.

I play the piano. I'd consider myself an advanced beginner. My husband would say I'm much better than that. Either way, I enjoy it and just started with a new jazz teacher.
