Hello! My name is Sarah. I am 32 years old and live in the always rainy, always green, always beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have lived here all my life and while I plan to do a lot of traveling, I think I will always come back to this place.

I have been interested in writing letters, having pen pals, and exchanging mail even since I was a little girl. When I was in second grade and changed schools, my teacher wrote me letters about the class and I corresponded with her for many years. I also had a very active letter writing relationship with my great aunt and we grew very close because of that. Since then, I have been in and out of the scene through the years, having to leave mostly because of serious life changes and the general ebb and flow of life continuing to march ever forward. I'm married now and have a 9-year-old son that I would like to share my love of real, paper mail with so I'm jumping back in. :) He already gets excited just over junk mail! I can't imagine what a real postcard could do!

As I mentioned before, myself, my husband, and my son all live in Gladstone, Oregon. It's about 10 minutes south of Portland. We own and operate a gaming shop where we largely focus on trading cards (Magic, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!), called Epic Gaming. Our whole lives are steeped in the geekiest and nerdiest that Portland has to offer and we love it. We both have a background in Event Management (conventions), which is how we met and worked together for many years before we got married.

These days, I'm mostly a stay-at-home mom and I work at Epic, our store, as much as possible.

I enjoy knitting and crocheting, as well as sewing, and have been learning these for the better part of 15 years now. What I love most about these crafts is working with color. I am as comfortable with tried and true combinations as I am with being adventurous and trying new things. And I can never pass up on a rainbow. Never. :D

I also love the outdoors, hiking and camping. I pair this with a budding hobby in photography.
