I am a watercolour artist,have been painting with a mixed group in our little fishing village at Yamba. Enter the local art shows and have had some success! Also enjoy mixed media and acrylics,have not ventured into oils as yet. Love the use of colour and experimenting with different techniques. Sewing is another passion..my quilting is basic to say the least,but have a go at being creative in all things. A friend introduced me to this site and look forward to being a contributer,wonderful to keep the creative juices flowing.

Love reading and belong to a book club,we meet monthly and discuss our chosen book,the latest is, MoreThan a Still Life ,wonderful biography of one of Australias great artists Margaret Olley. Also read Jeffrey Deaver,Lynda La Plante,autobiographies and lots of art books.

Although a Nanna,and never been surfing in my youth,joined U3A,well! now go each weekend to the beach with a group and we blitz the waves on our boogie boards!!! What fun,and a great way to let of steam. We all go looking like raggle taggle gypsies to a local coffee shop and end the morning with a lot of chatter.

Just love music! some of the old songs ,Ray Charles,Rod Stewart,Jimi Hendrix,Pink,then to the other end of the scale...Pavorotti,Opera ,a bit of country,all good.

I am a Libran,so guess that it part of my dabbler personality!! Have a need to be busy,so embroider,quilt,knit when winter comes,attend a sewing group one day a week to explore new projects,have lots of ufo,s (unfinished objects) ,have a 3 year old grandson and as needed make requests, such as a couple of pairs of rainbow pants!! nothing is not achievable! Attend two local art groups each week,always learning!we occasionally have a guest tutor or one of the group shares a technique,just love those days.

Love all things colourful,art from the heart,the sea,quiet moments,poetry, going to the markets and scouring op shops ...find some wonderful unloved ,unfinished craft items ,they usually come home with me to be reinvented! anything blue,and above all ,family. Keen orchid grower and really enjoy pottering about in the garden,we are both lovers of fine food so like to grow some of the herbs needed.

Play mahjong,oriental version with a group once a week,its a great game with strategys to keep the mind active! also love canasta but not enough hours in my week!
