what I pledged

I'm Nancy and I live in a small coastal city in Tasmania I have 4 adult children and 12 grandchildren.

I'm loving being part of the swap-bot community. How exciting to be swapping with new friends around the world.

My swaps are marked sent after I have taken them to the Post Office. I would like it if you message me first if my swap for you doesn't arrive within a reasonable time.

My music tastes are pretty varied. I love modern Celtic Music( Dagda, Riverdance and Lord of the Dance), Amy Winehouse, Vince Gill, Andrea Bocelli, The Eagles, K.D.Lang ,Nora Jones,Eva Cassidy,Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart ( particularly his Great American Songbook CD's) and Adele is a new favourite

Love,love, love to read. My favs are The Outlander Series ( Cross Stitch in Australia ) by Diana Gabaldon....so good I've read them 4 times so far.Also love The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter,anything by Barbara Erskine, Barbara Wood or Jodi Picoult, Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen and The Secret life of Bees.

Update 2013.I've recently read and very much enjoyed Salvation Creek and The House at Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan ( an Australian author )magic books that are about her own life,Friendship Bread by Darien Gee and Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks.

This last is an amazing story of a community afflicted by the plague and of the struggle for survival...quite uplifting.

Where to start.Water for Elephants, The King's Speech, City of Angels, James Bond movies with Sean Connery or Daniel Craig,Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.Also The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Secret Life of Bees.

New favourites are The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and The Hobbit.Both top movies for me.

I love and treasure many things.Here's a few of my very favourites

Ephemera of all kinds,old photos,old buttons and lace,ATC's and altered small items,beads (and using old and broken jewellery pieces to make new stuff),pages from Foreign language books and newspapers,Zentangles,scented flowers like honeysuckle, roses and jasmine,Used postage stamps from various countries,sea shells,the sea, rivers and streams and smooth river stones,Incense,Jigsaw Puzzles,Sudoku and Hidden Object Games,Christmas ,Japanese paper,Paper Dolls, interesting fabrics and the Graphic 45 range of papers.

I love colour, especially blues, turquoise and purples but also enjoy the natural shades like coffee,tan,ecru and ochre.

Favourite themes are Zentangles,Arty, Fantasy, Dragons, Fairies,Quotations, Asian, Vintage and Whimsical,Mystery and Magical.

Please don't feel limited to these themes. Apart from gory or really dark stuff, I'll enjoy whatever you you choose to share with me.

Favourite crafts are painting ( Decorative Art),making ATC's,Zentangles,embroidery( totally into Hardanger at the moment,card making,applique and small patchwork projects like bags and needle cases, and stamping.
